The story
For centuries, a ghost named Ashe has been sealed inside a necklace, bound to whoever wears it. Now she is tied to Luna Anderson, a fragile young woman living in a grand mansion where the servants mock her and spend her money while her husband stays away. When Luna finally sees Ashe, she does not flinch; she simply asks how Ashe has endured all these years.
After Luna dies, she leaves her body to Ashe. Her husband, Herbert Jones, who ignored her in life, is shattered and begs for her return. Yet at the market, Ashe watches Herbert stroll past with another woman, Dora, and deny knowing Luna at all. Luna clutches her dress and says nothing.
Ashe vows to protect her, and Luna begins to share the story of her past. What binds the two women together, and what Herbert is hiding, remains to be seen.
Opening
This time, I was bound to a fragile woman, so weak she could barely stand. Her time was almost up, which was probably why I was able to appear before her and actually talk.
But here was the kicker—when she saw me, she didn’t freak out. Instead, she just asked how I’ve been holding up all these years. And when she finally passed away, just like I knew she would, she didn’t leave me empty-handed. She gave me her body.
The real shocker came after that, though.
