The story
The night before his wedding, Shawn is struck by a drunk driver — Chad, his fiancée Brittany's high school sweetheart. He wakes from a coma to a nightmare: Brittany married him only for the Baker fortune, and the parents he called Mom and Dad for 25 years helped put him under. In the hospital room beside his, Brittany and Chad celebrate their plan to inherit everything, while his mother urges a doctor to make sure he never wakes up. A plot 25 years in the making, built on a switched identity and a family he never truly had.
Shawn returns home to a wife hiding her betrayal, a mother who sees him as a walking bank account, and Chad waiting in the shadows. When he learns Brittany intends to kill him a second time, he makes a call to Lucas and joins a team of his own. The wolves in sheep's clothing believe he is still helpless — but Shawn is awake, and he is counting.
