The story
After three years of a secret marriage in which Sebastian Stone never touched her, Luna Luo has finally had enough of his cold shoulder and asks for a divorce. His handsome face shows nothing; his voice is indifferent. "Suit yourself." But the moment the door clicks shut, she hears a familiar voice in her head — his voice, panicking, sobbing, certain some other man must be seducing her away.
By day Sebastian is buttoned-up and distant, his eyes behind gold-rimmed glasses as cold as a dead pool. Yet the voice in her head reveals a man undone by jealousy and longing, and her dreams of him are nothing like the man in reality. When he says the divorce papers will be sent over, she cannot tell which version of him is real.
At a business dinner he is suddenly there, seated beside her, his leg brushing her calf, his wine glass shattering in his hand. He asks her to bandage the cut, and the voice in her head grows louder still.
Opening
After three years of a secret marriage where Sebastian Stone never touched me, I'd had enough of his cold shoulder. I asked for a divorce.
His handsome face remained expressionless, his voice indifferent.
"Suit yourself."
Then, the moment the door clicked shut, I heard a familiar voice in my head:
[My wife wants a divorce! It must be some other guy seducing her! Damn it!]
[That shameless little homewrecker, daring to leave a hickey on my wife's neck? Does he think I'm dead?]
A pause, then the voice cracked with a sob:
