The story
The day the true heiress of the Sterling family returns, Sharon is in a car accident that leaves her spine permanently damaged and her body a prison. Her adoptive mother insists she live, caring for her for a year—until Veronica, the newly found heiress, is diagnosed with leukemia and needs umbilical cord blood. Strange men are let into Sharon's bedroom, one after another, until she is pregnant. As her belly swells, Veronica taunts her, and Sharon slowly pulls out her own breathing tube.
She opens her eyes to the night Veronica returned. In the car on the highway, Veronica begs her to step out and check the engine, just as before. Sharon obeys—then grabs Veronica's hand and yanks her out too, as headlights bear down. The driver swerves to shield them, and Sharon calls the police, but Veronica snatches the phone away.
At the hotel, her adoptive mother blames her for Veronica's scrapes, and her adoptive father orders her out. Alone in a lounge, Sharon is cornered by Veronica's bodyguards—the same men who tortured her in her last life.
Opening
The day the true heiress of the Sterling family returned, I was in a car accident. My spine was permanently damaged. I was trapped in my own body, unable to move, a prisoner in a waking coma.
I cried, I begged for death, but my adoptive mother insisted I live. She cared for me meticulously, day in and day out, for an entire year.
Then, the true heiress, my "sister," was diagnosed with leukemia. She needed umbilical cord blood to survive.
My adoptive mother started letting strange men into my bedroom. One after another. Soon, I was pregnant.
