The story
Julian Spencer has pursued Ciara Hudson for three years, rejecting a marriage alliance with the Langstons and pouring ten billion dollars into saving the Hudsons from collapse. On the night before their wedding, Ciara locks herself in their marital home with her adopted brother, Carl, and gives herself to him to stop his threats of suicide.
Carl emerges in Julian's bathrobe, flaunting the marks on his chest, while Ciara brushes it off as a tantrum and demands Julian hand over a house and company shares to keep Carl content. When Carl flees and deliberately crashes into Julian, Ciara rushes to Carl's side without a glance at her injured fiancé.
From his hospital bed, Julian finally sees that his sacrifices have moved no one but himself. He calls Serena Langston, his business rival, and agrees to the marriage alliance between their families. Since Ciara has betrayed him, he no longer wants her.
Opening
Everyone knows that I've been pursuing Ciara Hudson for several years now. For her sake, I reject a marriage alliance with the Langstons and invest ten billion dollars into saving the Hudsons from the brink of collapse.
But on the night before our wedding, while attempting to appease her adopted brother, Carl Hudson, Ciara allows him to take her to bed, right in our marital home.
