The story
Daphne Monterey agrees to a facial at a viral beauty salon with her best friend, Tanya Tomlinson. The moment they arrive, handsome six-foot-tall men greet them, and Tanya quickly disappears upstairs, leaving Daphne in the care of a young man who escorts her to room 208. There, a robe-clad employee named Caleb Galen begins her treatment, his touch so skilled that Daphne drifts between sleep and waking.
She rouses to find herself stripped and pinned, her body heating beyond her control. Caleb reveals the salon is no ordinary spa but an entertainment establishment, and Daphne realizes Tanya may have known all along. She fights him off, pays for his silence, and flees, only to face Liam Thorpe, the fiancé she is soon to marry, waiting outside.
A hickey on her neck draws Tanya's loud notice and Liam's silent scrutiny. Back home, Daphne calls Tanya, who admits the truth without shame, urging her to have fun before the wedding. Daphne must now weigh a best friend's betrayal against the possessive man she is about to marry.
