The story
Christian Chambers is a long-haul truck driver, accustomed to lonely runs of ten days or more on the road, eating and sleeping in his cab. On the Sicherian-Timbre Highway, a young couple, Jean Shelley and Ray Brook, wave him down after their car breaks down, and he offers them a ride.
Once inside, Jean's boldness unsettles him. She and Ray touch each other openly beside him, and then Jean asks Christian to feel her and compare her sides. When she notices his reaction, she offers to measure him with her hand, insisting his wife is far away and will never know. Ray watches without objection, even urging her on.
Christian is married, and he knows letting her touch him would cross a line he cannot take back. Yet the desire built up over long, solitary runs presses hard against his resolve, and the couple's encouragement leaves him with a choice he is not sure he can refuse.
Opening
On a truck along the Sicherian-Timbre Highway, a couple hitched a ride from me. The lady, Jean Shelley, was dressed provocatively.
I couldn't help getting aroused, pitching a tent.
Unexpectedly, Jean was very open-minded. She actually wanted to use her hand to measure how big I was.
