The story
June Clarke married into the Clarke family as the bride of their guardian deity, a merman named Adrian Clarke. But after he kicks her out of bed for the hundredth time, she decides to ask the clan elder to dissolve their contract. Then strange pop-up comments begin appearing before her eyes, hinting that Adrian does not hate her at all — he is only holding back his heat, and a merman who suppresses it for too long will die.
When Adrian asks her to attend the clan ritual with him, June agrees, and the comments warn that this is where he is meant to meet the female lead. They also whisper of a darker fate awaiting her if she loses him. June begins to wonder whether the cold guardian truly cares for her, and whether she can reclaim what is rightfully hers before the story slips away.
Opening
I married into the Clarke family as the bride of their guardian deity, a merman. The only problem? He had issues in the bedroom.
After he kicked me out of bed for the hundredth time, I’d had enough. In a fit of anger, I asked the clan elder to dissolve our contract.
Just then, a series of comments popped into my vision, like a live-stream chat.
【He just doesn’t want their first time to be during his heat, right…?】
