The Perfect Wife Went Off-Script

For twenty-two years, Vivian has been the perfect wife to Nathan, an international airline captain with over a million followers. She raised their daughter Sienna, built his social media image from nothing, and cared for his bedridden father, all while her hands grew too deformed by arthritis to hold a spatula. When Nathan signs them up for a livestream to prove that homemakers are cherished, he expects her to play along.

But when the host asks whether she would want Sienna to become a homemaker like her, Vivian looks into the camera and says no. The clip goes viral. Nathan calls it a tantrum, freezes her bank cards, and moves his public relations crisis into their home, where a junior flight attendant named Amber Hayes appears wearing the necklace Vivian threw away.

As the internet tears her apart, Nathan hands her a statement to sign, blaming her own mental health. With twenty dollars left in her purse, Vivian must decide what the rest of her life is worth.
