The story
Sean and Tessa work together at the Volcano Observatory, where years of proximity have grown into love. Yet Tessa has never fully committed to him, because her heart still belongs to her sickly uncle, Adrian, whom she has loved since childhood. On the day they are finally meant to collect their marriage license, Tessa cancels to take Adrian for a medical check-up, and Sean suddenly sees a warning: in a past life he let her go, Adrian died, and Tessa poisoned him in revenge.
Opening
After a single phone call, she told me she had to take her uncle for a medical check-up. We'd have to do it another time.
I was about to protest when a stream of text suddenly materialized before my eyes.
【Don't. Just let her go.】
