The story
Waking alone in her small flat, a woman hears snoring in the dark. When she turns on the light, the sound stops and the room is empty — until the snoring returns, closer than before. Convinced someone is hiding under the bed, she arms herself with scissors and a clothes pole, but finds only dust.
Then her smart speaker begins asking strange questions, and the lift refuses to close, opening on floor after floor for passengers she cannot see. Fleeing the building, she calls her best friend Rachel and her boyfriend Tom, but Rachel will not come, and Tom's calm insistence that ghosts are not real makes her suspect a cruel prank — until she learns he has already called the police.
Trapped between what she saw and what she cannot explain, she must decide whom to trust before the night is over.
Opening
I was alone in my flat—how could there be a man snoring?
Suddenly, I remembered a film where a man was hiding under a woman’s bed…
I immediately picked up my phone to call Tom, but my best friend Rachel texted me just then: "Don’t trust your boyfriend; he’s going to kill you!"
At midnight, I was awoken by the sound of snoring.
