The story
Late at night, Daisy Miller is dumped by text: Ryan King says his dad isn't happy with her. Drunk, she goes to beg him back, and wakes the next morning sprawled on top of a handsome man — who turns out to be Ryan King's father. Ryan King's call confirms the breakup, and the man beneath her teases her about her drunken night. Mortified, she scrambles to dress and flee, only to run straight into Ryan King at the door, trash bag in hand. Cornered, she trades barbs with her ex, then dumps the bag over his head. But the condom wrappers inside raise a question Ryan King can't ignore.
Opening
Late at night, my boyfriend texted me,
“My dad isn’t happy with you. Let’s break up.”
Drunk, I went to beg for him back, making a scene all night.
But when I woke up, his dad was lying next to me.
The man opened his eyes, grinning at me.
“Are you satisfied with me now?” I snapped, annoyed.
I was woken up in the morning by a phone call.
“Daisy Miller, are you out of your mind? You called me 108 times last night!”
His familiar voice came through the receiver.
My voice was already choked with tears.
