The story
On the way to the airport, a driver refuses to let a Porsche cut him off. The Porsche overtakes and brake-checks him five times, until he calls the police. While reading the plate number aloud, he realizes the car is the birthday gift his wife asked him for last week, and he slams into it.
The Porsche's driver, Chris Hall, storms out demanding three million and boasting that his wife is a big shot. A crowd and the police arrive; dashcam footage shows the fault is Chris Hall's. He calls Sophia Reed, the narrator's wife, and flirts with her openly.
The insurance adjuster refuses to cover the crash, leaving Chris Hall to pay. The narrator means to force the two adulterers to show their true colors.
Opening
Because I was in a rush, I didn't want to get into it with a road rager, so I chose to tolerate it.
Unexpectedly, my patience only encouraged him to escalate.
In less than a hundred yards, he brake-checked me five times.
I reached my limit and decided to call the police.
