The story
The day a new intern named Sophie arrives, Katherine begins seeing floating comments that call Sophie the heroine and Katherine the villainous rival. The comments say Vincent, her boyfriend and the company's Vice President, will fall for Sophie, sabotage Katherine's business, and leave her bankrupt. When Vincent insists on making Sophie his personal assistant, Katherine starts to believe the warnings are true.
As the comments predict Sophie's schemes, Katherine quietly acts first, correcting a sabotaged bid and stripping Vincent of his authority. Then Vincent brings her a contract he claims will make the company a fortune, though the comments reveal it would ruin her.
Katherine must decide how to handle the man she once trusted before he and Sophie take everything she has built.
Opening
The day the new intern started, a cascade of comments began to scroll across my vision.
“She’s here, she’s here! The female lead has arrived!”
“Get ready, the male lead is about to fall hopelessly in love with her. As for that CEO rival, she’ll get insanely jealous and start tormenting the heroine.”
“And in the end, the male lead will step in, crush the rival’s company for the sake of his true love, and leave her bankrupt!”
