The story
For three years, Zara has accepted her husband Blake's devotion to his comatose ex-girlfriend Vivian, swallowing her own hurt because everyone insists they owe the woman who lies in a vegetative state. Then she finds a pregnancy test under Vivian's hospital bed, and Blake snatches it away, calling it a nurse's carelessness. His credit card records tell another story: perfume, a designer bag, a bracelet, all for a patient who supposedly cannot wake.
When Zara returns to the sanatorium unannounced, she sees Vivian standing, dressed and made-up, striking an aide and visibly pregnant. A bribed aide reveals the truth: Vivian was never in a coma, the baby is Blake's, and the nightly tonic he presses on Zara is a slow poison meant to kill her and claim her family's fortune.
Armed with hidden-camera footage and a medical report confirming the poison, Zara stays calm. Revenge, not rage, is what she wants, and she has already chosen a burial plot for three.
Opening
