The story
A surgeon has spent seven years devoted to his wife, Serena, caring for her through her pregnancy while she remains fixated on her first love, Aiden. When she ignores his pleas and goes bungee jumping with Aiden at eight months pregnant, the shock ends the pregnancy, and he must deliver the baby himself. In the hospital, she whispers Aiden's name and blames him for the loss.
He stops fighting. He lays a signed divorce agreement before her and asks about a research position in the States, a confidential project that would cut off outside contact for three years. Serena, unsettled by his calm, turns to Aiden, who moves a bed beside hers and appears in her posts, while she slaps and shoves her husband until he falls and bleeds.
As he endures stitches without anesthetic, the question is whether his resolve can survive her final demands.

“I jumped from three hundred feet with you. My love for you is witnessed by heaven and earth.”
This time, I didn't erupt in hysterical accusations. I simply laid a signed divorce agreement on the table, granting her freedom with a calm resolve.
But then, she panicked.
