The story
For two years, June Reed believed her husband, Preston Maxwell, was the man sharing her bed. Blind since a crash, she accepted his coldness and distance without complaint. Then her sight returns, and she overhears the truth: Preston hired his best friend, Grant Miller, to impersonate him so he could pursue his soulmate, Geneva Stone. The man she has lived with for two years is not her husband at all.
June chooses to keep her recovered sight secret. She clings to Grant, testing the restraint of the city's untouchable Ice Man, while Preston swaps days with him and mocks her as a clingy shadow he never wanted. At the Maxwell estate, Geneva drenches her in wine, and June retaliates under the guise of blindness, drawing both men to her side.
Now June plays their game to the end, and Grant's legendary control is beginning to crack.
