Divorce on Our Anniversary

On their seventh wedding anniversary, Lisa is summoned to a police station over a complaint that her company's products poisoned a child. The complainant is Mary, and the husband beside her is also named Terry — the same name as Lisa's husband. Terry admits he has a three-year-old child with Mary, so Lisa hands him divorce papers she prepared four years earlier.

At home, Terry accuses Lisa of lacking empathy and tells her she is unfit to be a mother. Lisa reminds him that she cannot conceive because she once blocked a broken bottle meant for him during a drunken fight — a fight he had picked over Mary. She gives him three days to answer, but he refuses to take the divorce seriously, insisting their life-and-death bond cannot be broken.

When Mary sues Lisa's company over the food-safety claim, Terry's legal team backs her. Lisa appears as both defendant and lead attorney, and the court dismisses the lawsuit. Leaving the courtroom, Terry only smiles and wishes her success, leaving Lisa to wonder what he is planning next.
