The story
At Victoria's promotion banquet, she raises the limit on her husband Jason's linked credit card from $3,000 to $5,000, calling the extra two grand his pocket money for staying home with their daughter. When he says he has his own money, her face darkens and her sycophants mock him as a kept man.
Days later, a $30 charge sends Victoria into a rage. She drags Jason into her company, where her secretary Blake strikes his knee with a broom handle and slams his face into the floor. She demands he kneel, kiss the floor five times, and apologize, threatening divorce and accusing him of cheating based on a bank statement showing hotel rooms, condoms, and lingerie. When Jason punches Blake, Victoria cradles her secretary's face with a tenderness Jason once knew, and he realizes she has given her heart to someone else.
He returns home to his parents and daughter Lily, hiding his injuries. Then Victoria marches in with a crew of vloggers and spots his mother holding a bag of his laundry, her expression turning venomous.
Opening
“Consider the extra two grand your pocket money for staying home with our kid,” she said, her voice full of CEO condescension.
I declined, saying I had my own money, but her face darkened instantly.
“Don’t I work hard for you and our daughter? Spend it. Max it out—I’ll make more,” she snapped.
Her sycophants chimed in, praising her as a “true alpha” and joking about marrying her to be a kept man.
