100 Dates with My Husband's Lookalike: When the Stand-In Became Real

Ethan has spent ten years as Mandy Gu's personal assistant, earning a pitiful $300 a month while hiding that he is her boyfriend. Mandy is an A-list actress who has never forgotten her first love, Lucas Lu, and she refuses to marry Ethan for his sake. When a young kept man named Alex Liu joins her crew, Ethan recognizes him at once: he looks exactly like Lucas Lu, and Mandy signs him into every production she works on.

Then Alex calls Ethan to gloat. He and Mandy have shared a hundred dates, many of them at Ethan's own home, and he taunts that Ethan cannot satisfy her needs. Ethan sits with twelve cold dishes he cooked for her, remembering the abortion she had three years ago without telling him and the years she spent murmuring Lucas's name in her sleep.

At last Ethan sends a message to his wealthy sister, agreeing to the arranged marriage and promising to attend the engagement party next week. He tosses his phone into a bathtub full of red rose petals, Mandy's favorite, and decides that in a week everything will be over.
